Day 3 Complete with Final Table Set
Day 3 of the first-ever Epic Poker League Main Event has wrapped up after the elimination of Adam Levy in seventh place. Levy took a sick beat on the river after first sucking out on the flop with pocket queens versus Chino Rheem's pocket kings. When Rheem rivered a better full house, Levy was eliminated and the tournament was over for the day.
With Levy being sent to the rail, that leaves Rheem and five others; Gavin Smith, Jason Mercier, Hasan Habib, Huck Seed and Erik Seidel. There's certainly no shortage of superstar power at this final table and tomorrow is set to be a great day of poker.
When the day began, Sam Trickett led the final 18 as the only player with over one million in chips. Trickett was able to ride his stack out to an 11th-place finish after not being able to get much going on the day. On his final hand, Rheem busted Trickett with pocket nines. Trickett failed to get there holding two sevens. Justin Bonomo (18th), Hoyt Corkins (17th), Matt Glantz (14th) and Eugene Katchalov (8th) were a few of the other bust outs on the day en route to this first-ever EPL final table.
All six remaining players have locked up a minimum of $107,980 for their work so far. There's still plenty of poker to be played and tons of work to be done if one of these six want to become the very first EPL champion and take home that $1,000,000 first-place prize. When they return tomorrow, Habib will be the man to catch with 1.655 million in chips.
