On a short-lived final day of just two and a half hours, a winner has been crowned in EPT Online 06: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] and it was Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski who became the latest champion of the 2020 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Online after he cut a deal with Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger in heads-up. The event featured a field of 109 entries and the top 13 finishers earned a portion of the $1,090,000 prize pool with Badziakouski and Eibinger taking home near identical amounts.

For most of the final table, it was all about Eibinger, who never surrendered the lead until the heads-up deal was cut. Both then agreed to get their chips in preflop no matter what and Badziakouski's prediction of "ok next hand flip book and then keep going till i bust you" turned out to be true.

Badziakouski won the first flip to double, lost the second flip to remain with the lead, and won the third flip to secure the $10,000 on top, taking home $222,453 for the efforts. Eibinger can console himself with $221,564 and has plenty of chances to earn a PokerStars spadie trophy until the end of the festival on November 18th, 2020.

Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph started the final day second in chips and ultimately fell in third place, one spot ahead of "hello_totti". EPT Online 07: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max] champion Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic flirted with the lead for a while but fell in fifth, and the remaining finalists all belong to the who-is-who of the online poker scene including Mike "SirWatts" Watson, Bert "girafganger7" Stevens, Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams, and Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford.

The Action of the Final Day

Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford, who is currently ranked number one on Pocket Fives, was the shortest stack heading into the final table with just 12 big blinds and was not able to spin them up. Mike "SirWatts" Watson then seemed to be destined as the next casualty when he lost a clash with fellow Canadian Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams to be left with fewer than one and a half big blinds. However, in the very next hand Adams lost a flip with king-queen suited against the jacks of Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic and was out in 8th place.

Watson doubled four times and made another pay jump as online MTT crusher Bert "girafganger7" Stevens ran with kings into the aces of Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger. But kings would also be the culprit for the elimination of Watson in 6th place when Eibinger flopped trips and rivered a full house with queen-eight.

Smiljkovic ran a king-high bluff against Eibinger that didn't go through and that hand certainly cemented the grip of Eibinger with five remaining. In the meanwhile, Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski won a race and was suddenly the second-biggest stack. Smiljkovic departed next and in the blink of an eye, "hello_totti" lost a race to Eibinger and was gone, too.

Half an hour later, Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph ran out of steam when his ace-jack was dominated by the ace-queen of Eibinger but the Austrian was denied the outright victory when he lost two of the three blind flips to Badziakouski. That wraps up the live updates for this event but the PokerNews team will provide all the action of each 2020 PokerStars EPT Online Event for the remainder of the festival.

Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger Eliminated in 2nd Place ($221,564)

zedmaster84 • Level 25: 60,000-120,000, 15,000 ante

As agreed to, Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski and Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger went all-in preflop until one of them had all the chips and it would take exactly three hands to accomplish that.

Flip #1:
Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski: {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Board: {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} - Badziakouski paired his eight and doubled into a big lead.

Flip #2:
Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger: {5-Spades}{3-Spades}
Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski: {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Board: {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Both joked about the "top of their range" and it was Eibinger that doubled, however, he was still trailing.

Flip #3:
Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger: {9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski: {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Badziakouski took the lead on the {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and Eibinger needed a nine or five to get another flip. However, the {k-Spades} turn and {q-Spades} river kept Badziakouski in the lead and Eibinger had to settle for $221,564 as per the deal they agreed to. Badziakouski earned slightly more, $222,453 to be exact, and will also receive the EPT spadie for the efforts.

ICM Deal In Place; Blind Flip Agreed

zedmaster84 • Level 25: 60,000-120,000, 15,000 ante

After playing just a few hands of heads-up, Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski and Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger quickly agreed to ICM numbers and then discussed whether or not they still had to play for any money on top. Once it was determined that it was only $10,000 to play for, both continued the chatter and a blind flip was suggested.

Eibinger: "did I ever win a flip against you?"
Badziakouski: "now is the time"

It only took a few moments for them to agreed and Badziakouski ultimately booked it with the words "ok next hand flip book and then keep going till i bust you". Stay tuned for the next showdowns.

Christian Rudolph

The action started with a button raise to 200,000 by Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph and Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger three-bet to 750,000 in the small blind. Rudolph then four-bet all-in for just over 38 big blinds and Eibinger made the call.

Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Eibinger had the better kicker and the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} flop left Rudolph with even less hope. Nothing changed on the {2-Clubs} turn and Eibinger made the nut flush on the {5-Spades} river, sending Rudolph to the rail in 3rd place for $148,058.

Badziakouski Near Even with Eibinger

zedmaster84 • Level 24: 50,000-100,000, 12,500 ante

In a three-bet pot between the two big stacks Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger and Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski, the former made it 220,000 to go and the latter raised to 750,000, which Eibinger called to see a {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop.

Badziakouski made it 524,000 to go and Eibinger came along to the {6-Diamonds} turn. The second barrel was larger, for 1,369,605, and Eibinger folded, then typed "grrrrrrr" in table chat.

However, the Austrian stopped his downfall the next hand by taking a chunk out of the stack of Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph. They limped and checked the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, Rudolph bet the {9-Hearts} turn for 150,000 and was called to then check-call for 809,000 on the {2-Diamonds} river.

Eibinger tabled the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} and that won the pot.

Rudolph Gains Some Ground

zedmaster84 • Level 24: 50,000-100,000, 12,500 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph checked the {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and so did Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger. Rudolph check-raised the {6-Clubs} turn from 100,000 to 450,000 as Eibinger came along.

The {a-Spades} fell on the river and a bet of 750,000 by Rudolph instantly won the pot without showdown.

Eibinger made the call and checked the {6-Diamonds} turn once more, Badziakouski fired a second barrel for 818,070 and claimed the pot.
