Rafe Goes With His Instincts

Rafe Furst came into play today low-stacked with only 11,300 in chips and has been mixing things up early, reraising potential late-position stealers from the blinds in an effort to chip up. But that doesn't mean he won't make a big fold when he sees fit.

Furst opened for 2,100 from UTG+1 and Luis Petit reraised to 6,100 from late position. The action was folded back around to Furst, who tanked for several minutes before deciding to open-fold {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}.

"I have a bad feeling about this" said Furst as he mucked his cards.

He's still hanging in there with about 16,000 in chips (and wearing some sharp-looking gold-rimmed aviator sunglasses of which this fashion maven approves).
