Goldsmyth

Marty Smyth has taken a few chips off Kevin Schaffel, betting just 35,000 on the turn of a {3-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {3-Spades} {Q-Clubs} board into a 100,000 plus pot.

Schaffel ended up mucking after some considerable thought and the Irishman took the pot.

Big Stack Watch

As we approach the end of the day, these folks look to be our chip leaders:

Tommy Vedes - 530,000
Rui Milhomens - 470,000
Jean Montury - 460,000
Jeff Lisandro - 420,000
Peter Eastgate - 410,000

Fischmann Busts In 4-Bet Pot

Scott Fischmann raised preflop, was reraised by the blinds and put in a forth bet, getting duly called.

The board came {K-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} and his opponent quickly moved all-in. Fischmann instantly called with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} but his opponent turned over {A-Spades} {K-Spades} for top trips, holding on a {6-Spades} turn and {7-Clubs} river.

The American goes out just a few spots before the money.

Big Stack On Big Stack Action

We joined the action with the board reading {7-Spades} {2-Hearts} {10-Spades} {K-Diamonds} and Tommy Vedes in the small blind betting out 10,900. Peter Eastgate on the button looked very intense and made the call.

They saw a {3-Clubs} river and Vedes thought about it for a bit before very daintily checking, tapping the table with a flourish. Eastgate remained intense, and bet 20,100. Vedes folded {Q-?} {J-?}.

Timoshenko Eliminated

Yevgeniy Timoshenko busted just a little bit earlier after he saw a limp reraise to 42,000 against his isolation bet of 16,000. Timoshenko ended up moving all-in for about 120,000 more according to tablemate Jon Heath but his opponent made the call with {9-?} {9-?}, dominating Timoshenko's {8-?} {7-?} and knocking him out of the tournament.

Play Is Over; Bring Out the Baggies

It's an early night for all our lucky Day 3 survivors -- we're done, and the bagging and tagging is underway. The board tells us that 111 players will be coming back tomorrow, of whom only 104 will be getting paid. Chip leader still seems to be Tommy Vedes. We'll see you at noon.
