...Until the money. We have around an hour left of the level and just need to lose 16 more players.

Anyone want to take bets on what comes first? It's going to be close...

Schaffel Busts Oppenheim

David Oppenheim is the latest big name to fall at the wayside, he had {A-?} {Q-?} but November Niner Kevin Schaffel had {A-?} {K-?} and Oppenheim couldn't hit a Queen to stay alive.

Schaffel is up to about 300,000.

Obst My God

Obst-ver the moon
Obst-ver the moon
Maridu Mayrinck, herself a former blogger and therefore finely attuned to these sorts of things, called me over to tell me that there was a gigantic three-way all-in monster hand happening at her table. I duly strolled over just as the cards were on their backs.

Unknown gentleman: all in with {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}
Pieter Visser: also all in with {A-Spades} {K-Spades}
James Obst: just about covering the both of them with {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts}

Board: an outdraw-free {Q-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {8-Hearts}

Thus Mr. Visser (who incidentally seems to be around 8 feet tall when he stands up; very unexpected) and the unfortunate gentleman who'd pushed first with the {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} were both bust. Obst meanwhile was up to around 250,000.

"So, did you get moist when you saw the shove in front of you?" Maridu was needling the newly chipped up Mr. Obst. "Come on, you got a little moist." Obst declined to comment.

Obrestad Doubles

Annette Obrestad reraised all-in for 66,900 more on top of Michael Greco's late position raise.

Greco gave her the old 'uberGreco-stare-down' before calling with {A-Clubs} {J-Spades}, but Obrestad flipped {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} to pip him by one.

The board was {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {8-Spades} {7-Clubs} and Obrestad is back up to 160,000.

Williams Busto

See that door over there? That's where I'm going.
See that door over there? That's where I'm going.
David Williams seems to have shoved from the cutoff and got himself called by Rodrigo Caprioli in the small blind.

Williams: {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts}
Caprioli: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

Board: an aceless and jackless {4-Spades} {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {5-Spades} to send Williams to the rail.
