Senninger Assassinates Baldassari

Fabrizio Baldassari, in the big blind position, checked the turn of a {J-Spades} {2-Clubs} {A-Spades} {3-Spades} board, a whole load of chips in the middle already. Nikolai Senninger on the button bet a whopping 230,000, and sent Baldassari into the tank. When he came out again, he moved all in and Senninger called instantly.

"F***," said Baldassari when he saw Senninger's hand.

Baldassari: {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}
Senninger: {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

River: {8-Hearts}

Baldassari is bust, while Senninger is up to 1.66 million.

Haik Like

We arrived at the table to see a {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} board out, perhaps 400,000 in the pot, and all of Eric Haik's remaining 700,000 in front of him. We deduced that he'd moved all in.

Theo Tran dwelled. He squirmed. He stood up. "Maybe jacks," he hypothesized. All of this took a very long time.

Haik grinned up at him, then pulled his purple hoodie up and hid under it, his hands over his head. Eventually, after some minutes' more dwelling time, Tran folded, accidentally exposing the {J-Hearts}. To a chorus of "wow"s around the table, Haik showed {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds}.

Haik - up to 1.15 million
Tran - down to 800,000

Tailspin-dler

Benny Spindler has hit a major downturn. First doubling up Rui Milhomens with {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} against {4-Spades} {4-Diamonds} after a {4-Hearts} {K-Spades} {2-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} board.

Then he called Kenneth Hicks' all-in with {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} but was up against {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} and couldn't win out on a {A-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} board.

He's lost around half a million in these two pots.

Rodrigoing Up

Last Brazilian Standing, Rodrigo Caprioli, will be standing for a little while longer -- he's just doubled up to 420,000 through Nikolai Senninger.

Senninger: {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
Rodrigo Caprioli: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs}

Board: {9-Spades} {2-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {8-Spades}

No feeling sorry for Senninger though -- he's doing just fine on 1.53 million.

Rui-ing The Call

Rui Milhomens raised preflop to 27,000 and Marty Smyth called from the big blind.

Both players checked the {3-Clubs} {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds} flop before Smyth bet 50,000 on the {8-Clubs} and a further 110,000 on the {K-Diamonds} river after he was called. The Portuguese player mucked though when he saw Smyth's {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}.

Smyth over 600,000. Milhomens down to about 150,000 or so.
