With such impressive starting stacks and their accompanying promise of all the play you can take, it's always surprising how fast the whole lot can get in the middle.

Just now Luke Schwartz, presumably a general action generator on his table, made it 450 to go in early position. This was calmly threebet and called by another player in the blinds, while Schwartz passed and sat back to watch what followed.

flop, raised to 5,075 by the cutoff. He called.

The turn was the {3-Clubs}

which prompted a pretty much instant shove from Early Player and the same sort of call from Late Player. So what could have sparked such a frenzy?

The river came a black brick and they chopped the pot while the table looked on disinterestedly. This must be happening with some frequency, then, around the room.
