before his opponent opened his cards. The latter then chose to muck but Mizzi wanted to see what he had been up against.

However, after a ruling, he was told that because he (Mizzi) had turned over first instead of waiting, his opponent now did not have to show and could muck his cards instead with no-one able to request to see them.
