Hand #79 - Matthew Woodward

Two players fold to Pieter de Korver in the small blind, who raises to 500,000. Big blind Matthew Woodward eyes de Korver's stack. He may be a bit confused by the unusual size of de Korver's raise (especially given how few chips de Korver is playing behind). Woodward finally moves in and de Korver calls.

Woodward: {k-Clubs} {j-Clubs}
de Korver: {9-Hearts} {9-Spades}

Woodward doesn't look happy but he couldn't have expected much more than a race in this situation. It turns out that de Korver has him barely covered by about 350,000 chips.

Woodward is in trouble after a flop of {7-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}. The {Q-Diamonds} is one card of a running combination that would stave off his elimination. A gasp goes up from the gallery as the second runner, the {10-Diamonds}, hits the river to give Woodward a Broadway straight and a double-up.

Hand #76 - Dag Mikkelsen

Woodward limps in on the small blind, and then calls a raise to 320,000 from big blind Mikkelsen.

Flop: {2-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}

Woodward checks and Mikkelsen makes it 425,000. After a pause, Woodward calls.

Both players check the {Q-Clubs} turn, and they proceed to the {6-Spades} river. Woodward bets out 550,000, and Mikkelsen calls. Woodward flips the {K-Hearts} {10-?} for absolutely nothing, and Mikkelsen takes it down with the {A-Spades} {6-Diamonds}. Mikkelsen is over 16 million now.

Hand #75 - Pieter de Korver

Mikhail Tulchinskiy opened to 350,000. Pieter de Korver very quickly jammed all in for 1.4 million total, eliminating everyone but Tulchinskiy from the pot. He got a count from the dealer, then called.

Tulchinskiy: {k-Spades} {8-Diamonds}
de Korver: {a-Hearts} {9-Hearts}

It's another good situation for de Korver, made even better when the board runs out {2-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {10-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts} to give him the pot and the double-up.

Hand #72 - Dag Mikkelsen

Second-in-chips Tulchinskiy opens for 350,000 under the gun, both Woodward and Mikkelsen call from the blinds.

Flop: {J-Spades} {9-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}

The blinds check to the Russian, who bets 650,000. Woodward gets out of the way, but Mikkelsen very slowly and deliberately makes it 1,450,000. Tulchinskiy sits back in his chair, considering. After a while, he passes.
