All's Vell That Ends Vell for Zerbib

Jerome Zerbib is having a great run - he's just knocked out Alexey Veller to put him up to 800,000.

Veller raised in mid position and then shoved to a reraise from Zerbib. Zerbib called, and Veller was coinflipping.

Veller: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}
Zerbib: {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}

Board: a spike-free {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}

Skampa Stays In, Without Showdown

A raising war between Dario Nittolo (cutoff) and Jan Skampa (small blind) culminated with Skampa moving all in. Nittolo gave it some very serious thought, attracting a swarm of media personnel who milled around the table waiting for a showdown - but he eventually folded, and the swarm dispersed.

Ciao for Cao

Cao K-O
Cao K-O
As we strolled by their table, we noticed that Rui Cao was down to 120,000 while Anthony Roux was up to 650,000. Suspicious.

A few minutes later, and we strolled by the table again to witness Jakob Carlsson raising, and then calling the shove from Cao. On their backs.

Cao: {K-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}
Carlsson: {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts}

Board: {8-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {9-Spades}

Cao flopped a king, but Carlsson turned a flush, and that was that for the Frenchman.

Much Apo About Nothing

Apo Arslan shoved for not very much at all; Dario Nittolo called in the small blind. Arslan turned over {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} before the big blind had called, to the panic of the dealer; the big blind eventually folded, though, and they were on their backs.

Arslan: {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts}, obviously
Nittolo: {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

Board: a rather fun but ultimately no-nonsense {7-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

So Long, Sepman

First into the pot, Yulius Sepman open-shoved his last 64,000 chips into the middle of the table. In the small blind, Florian Langmann asked for the count before making the call, and he was heads up with a chance to knock out a player.

Sepman tabled {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}, and he was flipping a coin for his survival against the German pro's {A-Spades} {10-Clubs}.

The flop was a decent find for the at-risk player as it came down {7-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn wasn't a great card for him, though, and the {Q-Clubs} on the river was even worse. Both players end with queens and sevens, but Langmann's ace kicker players to send another player to the rail.

We're down to just 55 runners.
