Andreas Eiler Busts in 18th Place (€15,500)

Andreas Eiler - 18th Place
Andreas Eiler - 18th Place
Sebastien Boyard opened for a chunky 90,000, and Andreas Eiler, newly moved to the table, moved all in for 355,000. Back to Boyard, who called all in for 340,000, and they were on their backs.

Boyard: {K-Diamonds} {J-Spades}
Eiler: {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds}

Board: {J-Hearts} {2-Spades} {J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}...

...

...{K-Hearts}!

Ouch. Boyard doubled up to around 700,000, while Eiler, reduced to less than a big blind, busted two hands later when his {A-?} {4-?} failed to outdraw Luca Pagano's pocket tens.

Outdraws All Over the Shop

Stefan Mattsson raised from the button, only to be met with a reraise from Juha Lauttamus in the small blind. Mattsson announced all in, Lauttamus announced call, and they were on their backs.

Mattsson: {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}
Lauttamus: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}

Concentrate! Here comes the outdraw bit...

Board: {3-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {3-Spades} {7-Hearts}

Mattsson doubles to 1.985 million. A very unhappy Lauttamus is left with 450,000.

Pagano Doubles Through Meelis

Kalle Niemi raised in mid position, only for Jolmer Meelis to reraise from the button. Over to Luca Pagano in the small blind - who very unexpectedly announced all in. Niemi folded swift as can be - but Meelis called, and they were on their backs.

Meelis: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Pagano: {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts}

"A ten would be nice," said Meelis, unnecessarily.

Board: {5-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {2-Clubs}

With that, Pagano seems to be well on his way to what will or would be his sixth (seriously, sixth) EPT final table, on 1.6 million. Meelis is left with 350,000.

Roux the Day

Yann Brosolo opened to 48,000 in middle position, and Anthony Roux put in the call on the button. Evgeniy Zaytsev came along from the big blind as well, and the three men went off to a flop of {A-Clubs} {2-Spades} {2-Hearts}. All three checked, and the {10-Diamonds} fell on fourth street. After checks from the first two players, Roux fired a bet of 95,000. That was enough to fold the big blind quickly, while Brosolo made a nearly-as-quick call.

The last card off was the {6-Clubs}. Roux fired another 220,000 chips into the pot in a tower of blues. That set Brosolo aback, and he would sit in the tank for a couple minutes looking rather confounded. Finally, he stuck in the call.

Roux turned over {10-Spades} {10-Hearts} for the turned full house, and he's picked up another nice pot. Despite his French compatriots falling all around him, Roux has managed to build his stack up to about 1.75 million, knocking Brosolo all the way down to 395,000.

Ryan Seeing Double

Laurence Ryan
Laurence Ryan
Luca Pagano limped into the pot in late position, and Laurence Ryan and Eyal Avitan came along for a cheap flop from the blinds.

It spread out {A-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}, and Ryan led out with a bet. Avitan quickly called, folding Pagano and sending them heads up to the turn. Avitan would call another bet when the {A-Diamonds} paired the board, and Ryan moved all in on the {3-Clubs} river. Avitan obliged again, making the call with {Q-?} {9-?}. It was no good; Ryan showed up {A-Spades} {7-Hearts}, his trips earning him a huge double up to about 1.15 million
