A Straight and a Flush

We caught up with a big pot brewing on Table 1. As we walked up, there was a board showing {J-Hearts}

on the table and about 30,000 chips piled in the middle of the table. Maolo Piaggentino had moved all in for 12,500, and the decision was on a player calling himself Salamzy. After a minute or two of debate, he made the call with the covering stack.

Piaggentino was in the lead, tabling {A-Clubs}

for the straight. He would soon find out that he was just barely in the lead though; Salamzy tabled {8-Hearts}

for two pair and the open-ended straight and flush draws. And the ol' thirteen-outer would come through for him in a big way. The magical {7-Hearts}

struck the river, filling in Salamzy's straight flush and setting off flash bulbs all around the table.
