On the first hand back from break, Mike McDonald completed from the small blind, and Jake Cody knocked the table in the big. The flop brought {5-Hearts}

, and McDonald fired out 240,000. Cody called relatively quickly, and the {3-Spades}

hit fourth street. McDonald loaded up and fired another bullet -- 520,000 this time. That one did the trick; Cody frowned and kicked his cards in, and the first after-dinner pot goes to Timex.

Well, half right anyway. No winner yet, but it is time for dinner. Here are the chip counts at the break. The final three will be back to the felt in an hour.

Caraba Clobbers Cody

Jake Cody completed from the small blind, and Teodor Caraba tapped the table for a free flop in the big.

The dealer spread out {J-Spades}

, and Cody checked. Caraba stacked out 200,000 and slid it forward, and the call came pretty quickly. Fourth street brought the {8-Diamonds}

and another Cody check, and Caraba wasn't stopping now. He made it 500,000 to go, and Cody obliged him with another call.

Now things get interesting. The river was the {2-Diamonds}

, and Cody checked for the third time, never yet showing any signs of aggression. Caraba pulled out a stack of red chips... then another... then another, and another, and then two more. He eventually had 2.24 million chips gathered in his hands, and he pushed them across the line as one final (and very substantial bet).

The move sent Cody spiraling into the think tank as he considered a decision for about 25% of his remaining stack. He asked how much his opponent had behind (about 4.4 million) before slowly pulling chips from his stack. He lined up the same amount and pump faked with them before leaning back and reconsidering for another minute or so. Finally, he made the call.

Caraba tabled {Q-?}

, and Cody sunk into his chair, head down. He flicked his cards into the muck with one finger, unable to beat that and unhappy about sending more than 3 million chips over to his neighbor in the second largest pot of the tournament.

So what's the average age at the table now? I'll give you a hint - it's too young to play poker in Las Vegas. Teodor Caraba and Jake Cody are both 21 years old.

Mike McDonald, who has over $2.2 million in live tournament cashes, is 20. He was only 18 when he won his first EPT Main Event.

Fourth-place finisher Craig Bergeron is also 20. Canadian McDonald and Bergeron, an American, are able to play on the European circuit but are too young to play live tournaments in the U.S.

By the by, we at PokerNews would like to commend our final three, and indeed the entire final table, for running an absolute masterclass in getting it quietly. There have been none of the shouty shenanigans or ungentlemanly shows of exuberance today that have rather characterized much of this week's action - instead we have seen some textbook poker played with textbook grace and dignity. Admirable indeed.
