Juanda Moves Ahead Again

David Vamplew was on the button, and he raised to the minimum, 600,000. John Juanda called.

They both checked the {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and proceeded directly to the {q-Spades} turn, when Juanda bet out 900,000. Vamplew called, and they were granted a river card.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Juanda now bet out 1.5 million. Over to Vamplew, who gaev it some thought. Vamplew looked like a man defeated, huffing and puffing and scratching his face, but eventually he tossed in the call.

Juanda showed him a queen for top pair, and Vamplew mucked his hand.
