Brown vs. the Board; Bari Gives Him an Education

We picked up the action just as the dealer was running out a flop of {Q-Hearts} {10-Spades} {2-Spades}, and we can infer that Chad Brown was the preflop raiser in position. After Allen Bari checked, Brown stuck out a continuation bet of 15,000, and Bari came along with the call.

Fourth street brought the {A-Hearts}, and Bari knocked the table again. There would be no check-call this time though. When Brown fired 25,000 more chips, Bari shoved all in on a check-raise. Brown thought it over for a minute before sending his cards muckward,

Bari - 310,000
Brown - 79,000

Bari Doing Work

Mr. Bari
Mr. Bari
Ilya Bulychev got his short stack into the middle before the flop with {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}, and he seemed content to be racing for double or nothing against Allen Bari and his {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds}.

Well, he was content initially anyways. The dealer failed to provide him any salvation though, running out a board of {2-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}. Unable to catch a pair, Bulychev is outta here.

Bari is flirting with 400,000 chips now, giving him a top-three stack with 26 players left.

Leo Fernandez Busto; Frederic Leads

Michael Frederic and Leo Fernandez had all the chips in the middle when we walked up on this hand. It was Fernandez that was at risk.

Fernandez: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Frederic: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came down {3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Fernandez was already pretty much out of his seat walking away. When the {q-Hearts} hit the turn, it was over for Fernandez, with the {6-Diamonds} being meaningless.

Fernandez walked away from the table saying, "I hate this game."

Frederic now leads the pack with 571,800 in chips.

Breaking Bad

That's another level down, and we need to take a quick break to color up and race off those pesky black T100 chips. Back shortly.

Brown Times Two

Chad Brown
Chad Brown
Olivier Busquet opened the pot the 11,500, and Luke Schwartz made the call in position. Next to speak was Chad Brown, and he moved all in for 71,000 total. That was enough to get Busquet out of the way, but Schwartz made the call grumbling, "I hope I'm racing."

He was:
Schwartz: {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}
Brown: {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts}

Brown's horse shot out of the gate on a flop of {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {2-Hearts}, and the turn and river kept him in front as the {10-Spades} and {4-Spades} secured his double up. He's back over 150,000 thanks to that friendly flip.
