Neu Lease of Life for Pierre

Online qualifier of the year? Moi?
Online qualifier of the year? Moi?
With the board reading {3-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {8-Clubs} by the time we caught up with the action on the turn, there was a 3,575 bet from the gent in mid position. Pierre Neuville flat-called on the button.

The saw a {2-Diamonds} river and Mr. Mid Position bet out another 4,500. Neuville promptly moved all in for 18,500, and after a few moments his opponent had folded and the pot was his.

The gent who has been confirmed as forerunner for the Online Qualifier of the Year award at the upcoming EPT Awards this week is up to 40,000.

Negreanu Busto

Sigh
Sigh
With the flop reading {3-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}, it checked around to Mostafa Belkhayate, who bet 11,400. Daniel Negreanu shoved for 19,525, everyone else folded, and Belkhayate called.

Negreanu: {4-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for middle pair and an up-and-down
Belkhayate: {7-Hearts} {8-Clubs} for a gutshot

Turn: {8-Hearts} uh-oh

River: {8-Diamonds}

With that, Negreanu headed for the door - we believe it's the first time this season he hasn't made Day 2. Belkhayate meanwhile is the table daddy with 145,000.

Steve "gboro780" Gross is already back on break after getting into it from the small blind. The button raised to 1,500, and Gross reraised to 4,275. The button moved all in, and Gross called for his last 10,000 or so to see that his {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} were up against {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, sending gboro to the rail.

Pick A Player

Chris Moorman, EPT Deauville winner Jake Cody and James Dempsey are randomly picking tables to prop bet on.

The rules are that that two of them pick a player for third until they all have one each at a table. Then they stay at that table until one of 'their' players wins a pot and if it is your player, you win €100. However, they've also included 'mad' bonuses.

If your player busts: €500 given each to the other two.
If your player eliminates someone: You receive €1,000 from each of the other two.
If your player open folds the button: €250 given to each of the other two.
If your player 3-bet folds: €200 given to each of the other two.
If your player cold 4-bets: You receive €500 from the other two.

So far, Jake Cody is the one slightly ahead here.

Levi Picks Up Some Quid with Quads

A player under-the-gun raised to 2,700, and Nicolas Levi, another player, and small blind Ty Reiman all called to see a {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. All four players checked to a free turn card, the {J-Hearts}. With the flush completed, Reiman bet out 5,400. Only Levi made the call. The river was the {6-Hearts}, putting four hearts and a possible full house on the board. Reiman checked, and Levi bet 14,000. Ty didn't look happy about it, but he called. He looked even less happy when he saw that with the case sixes, Levi had rivered quads. The hand pushed Levi over 80,000 and dropped Reiman to 23,000.

Weisner Crushes Ladies

Rockets
Rockets
We arrived just at the tail end of the action, so we had to piece it back together. This is what appeared to have happened:

- Player 1 raised.
- Melanie Weisner called.
- Player 2 reraised.
- Player 1 shoved.
- Weisner reshoved.
- Player 2 eventually folded.

So either way, on their backs.

Player 1: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}
Wesiner: {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts}

Board: {4-Spades} {2-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}

Player 1 busted, and Weisner moved on up to 65,000. Player 2 banged the table and claimed he'd folded kings. Everyone laughed.

Naujoks Bust

The time is Nau
The time is Nau
The PokerNews bloggers' table is being treated right now to the sight of EPT Dortmund winner Sandra Naujoks receiving what looks to be a very thorough massage at an empty table right in front of us.

From this we conclude that the Team PokerStars Pro is no longer in the running for this Main Event.

[EDIT]

...And now we know how it happened. Thanks, Homer!

James Mitchell raised preflop with pocket kings and Naujoks flatted with queens. They saw a {10-?} {7-?} {2-?} flop and naujoks checked. Mitchell bet 2,400, Naujoks raised to 6,000 with 14,000 behind, Mitchell shoved and after tanking for many minutes, Naujoks called all in. No further queens hit the felt, and Naujoks hit the massage table at the back of the room.

"She nit-rolled me," Mitchell complained. "Imagine if I'd had jacks."

Red-Faced Baron

Isaac Baron has doubled through Nicolas Levi after more than a little luck.

Baron pushed with {Q-Hearts} {10-Clubs} from late position for about 11,000 and was quickly called behind him by Nicolas Levi who was holding {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}.

But the board came {Q-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and Baron, who had been standing up ready to leave as the dealer dealt the flop, sat back down.--

Van Til Finds a Hand

The gentleman on the button raised to 2,400 and Johan van Til made it 6,550 from the small blind. The big blind shoved for around 15,000, the button passed, and van Til made the call.

Van Til: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}
Big Blind Gentleman: a rather esoteric {7-Spades} {4-Spades}

Board: {6-Hearts} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {A-Clubs}

With that, the flame-haired Dutchman is up to 115,000.
