Melanie Weisner opened for 13,000 in early position only for Matt Perrins in the big blind to ominously ask her how much she was playing but then just flat-call.
Both players checked the flop and Perrins bet out 17,500 on the turn, which Weisner called. Perrins bet out another 28,500 on the river and Weisner confidently announced call, but then mucked when Perrins turned over . Weisner dropped to 270,000.
Jean Francois Talbot raised under the gun and Lex Veldhuis to his immediate left reraised to 35,500. It then folded around to Daniel Groth in the big blind, who pushed all in for 109,500. Talbot quickly got out of the way, but after a few moments' thought, Veldhuis called.
Veldhuis:
Groth:
Board:
Ouch. With that, Groth hit the rail and Veldhuis moved on up to 290,000.
Nick Schulman opened to 14,500 from early position, and El Mostafa Bel Khayate called out of the small blind. [Removed:39] made it 50,000 total from the big blind, and after assessing Berendsen's stack, Schulman called. The small blind quickly folded.
The flop came . Berendsen checked, Schulman bet 65,000, and Berendsen surrendered, all in a few seconds.
Matt Perrins raised to 12,500 from the highjack, and Melanie Weisner asked him how much he had. The answer was about 700,000, which surprised her. "Oh. Wow. Nice," she said, calling on the button. The big blind, Roger Hairabedian, also came along.
Flop: - Hairabedian bet out 17,000, and both Perrins and Weisner both called.
Turn: - Hairabedian fired another 28,500, which was enough to push Weisner out of the pot.
River: - Interesting river card. Hairabedian made a 35,000 value bet, and Perrins acted like he had no choice but to call. Roger showed for the turned straight, and that was enough for the pot.
