river and now Klinger bet 350,000. Perrins counted out the call, studying Klinger's face for a reaction as he did so, but eventually folded.

After the pot had been pushed over to Klinger, he claimed he'd had {Q-?}

offsuit. Perrins did not seem to believe him, and good-naturedly needled him about what else he might have had. "Pair of nines? Pair of jokers?"
