Welcome to Day 4 of the PokerStars.com EPT Tallinn!
Twenty-five players remain; twenty-five men each with hopes of taking down the first EPT of Season 7. But who are the favourites?
Going by chips, you'd have to pick Perica Bukara, he's the chip leader with 1,326,000. He final tabled the Unibet Open in Prague last week but this time the Serbian is looking towards an even bigger score.
If you're going by form then Konstantin Bilyaver (1,240,000) is your man, he's been in the right place at the right time, picking up a huge pot late last night when he eliminated Chady Merhej and doubled through Steven van Zadelhoff at the same time. The dealer must have dipped their hands in ice water before the shuffle as we ended up with bottom set vs top and bottom pair vs Bilyaver's middle set which won it all. Can the Russian go all the way?
But if you're a romantic and decide to go by history, then Arnaud Mattern (1,155,000) is surely the one. He's the only remaining EPT champion still in the field and a Mattern win would indeed be a landmark since he would become the first double EPT winner. There's still a long way to go, but he still should be one of favourites.
The rest of the field cannot be dismissed however, WSOP runner-up Ivan Demidov has a solid stack while the talented Johan Storakers and Steven van Zadelhoff also still remain. Who will make the final? Your guess is as good as ours...
