Lacay Flying High

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ludovic Lacay, more aggressive than a pumped up Jonah Lomu, is on about 50,000 now after making a big overbet of 19,000 on the river of a {8-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts} board into a pot of 11,000 getting his opponent to fold {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} face up.

Duthie Doubles Anouar

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

EPT founder John Duthie has taken a small hit doubling up one Mehlil Anouar of Morocco, the latter moving in on the flop.

Duthie: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Anouar: {10-Spades}{4-Spades}

Board: {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Fortunately for Duthie, Anouar's all in was only for 4,000 or so, meaning that Duthie is still above his starting stack on 32,500.

Clemencon Flying High

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Tristan Clemencon, who came third here two years ago for a rather nice €284,800, is looking in decent shape to make another assault on the final table - he's at 41,000 right now, and that's after losing a relatively chunky Level 3 hand.

Three players made it to the {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and it checked around to Clemencon on the button who bet 925. But the gentleman in the big blind now check-raised to 3,200, pushing off both the third player in mid position and, eventually, Clemencon. Clemencon didn't look terribly bothered about the small hit, and his stack remains well over the average.

Bank Aera In Your Favour, Collect 20,000 Chips

Level 4 : 150/300, 0 ante

Antoine Amourette, former WPT finalist, has 68,000 having just picked up two sizeable pots.

The first saw Lucille Cailly open to 500 before Victor Yves Hallague made it 1,375 next to her. Amourette flat-called in the big blind and Cailly called as well.

All three checked the {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {6-Spades} flop before Amourette bet 2,625 and the other two folded.

The very next hand saw Cailly open again to 500 and the button Gaetano Dell Aera made the call before Amourette raised to 1,700 in the small blind. Cailly and Aera both called, then both called a 2,400 bet on the {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} flop. The pot size swelled considerably before all three checked the {K-Clubs} turn leading to a {4-Diamonds} river. Amourette now fired out 3,850 and Cailly tanked before folding, but Aera quickly made the call only to muck when Amourette showed {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}.

Table of Moderate Death

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The big names are rather thinner on the ground here than they have been at some other EPTs recently, but nevertheless one particularly vicious-looking table has emerged.

Table 3 currently features French powerhouses Bruno Launais (EPT Deauville 2009 seventh place, EPT Vienna 2010 eighth place) and Ludovic Lacay (EPT Warsaw 2008 eighth place) sitting next to each other, with Team PokerStars Pro John Duthie and 2009 EPT Barcelona fourth place finisher Mihai Manole further down the table. So far Launais seems to be the big winner on the table, with a stack well over 50,000.

Stop! Brammer-Time!

Level 4 : 150/300, 0 ante
Chris Brammer - Early leader
Chris Brammer - Early leader

Chris Brammer is hitting the heady heights of 70,000 after getting it all-in on the turn after flopping a set with {9-} {9-} against {A-} {A-} which held for a huge pot. He looks to be the early chip leader.
