Dario Doesn't Show

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Team Pokerstars Pro Dario Minieri has mastered this game so well that he even manages to get to showdown, win a pot, and keep his hand a secret.

We caught up with the diminutive Italian on a flop of {8-Spades} {3-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} and approx. 4,500 in the pot. Minieri bet 1,500 on the pot and his opponent made the call. On the turn we had the {a-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was the {10-Clubs} and again Minieri checked the action over to his opponent who bet 2,450. Minieri made the call and his opponent mucked his hand. Minieri just slid his cards to the dealer, face-down, and took down the pot.

Scandie Has Quad Aces. No, Seriously.

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

With the board reading {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {2-Diamonds}, James Sudworth bet out 1,675 on the river only to find Kristoffer Thorsson bumping it up to exactly 5,000. With a furrowed brow, the ginger-haired youngster was debating the merits of calling before eventually succumbing to the desire of wanting to know what his Scandinavian opponent had.

He made the call.

Thorsson showed {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} for 'just' quads.

Minieri Stack So Small It's Nonexistent

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Dario Minieri had only been seated at his table for a few minutes when he found himself abruptly ejected from the tournament. It was a slice of classic Minieri audacity that this time simply backfired when his opponent actually had the goods.

There was a mid-position limp before Minieri raised to 450 in the cutoff. The gentleman in the small blind called, the limper did too, and they saw a flop.

Flop: {4-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}

It checked around to Minieri who bet 800. The small blind gent called, the limper gave it up, and they were heads up to the turn.

Turn: {10-Spades}

Once again the small blind check-called, this time to the tune of 2,300, and they proceeded to the river.

River: {a-Diamonds}

The small blind checked for the third time and this time the bet from Minieri was all in. Once more the small blind called and turned over {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top two pair. Minieri's {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a rivered pair of aces was nowhere near, and the diminutive Italian Team PokerStars Pro cheerfully bid his table adieu and headed for the door.

Liv Leaks - a Little

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

A player limped into the hand from early position and Team Pokerstars Pro Liv Boeree isolated from the button with a raise of 500. Basil Yaiche has been winning most of the pots at this table and he called in the big blind. The original limper also made the call and the three of them shared a flop.

Flop: {a-Clubs} {j-Spades} {9-Diamonds}

Yaiche checked, the limper checked and Boeree bet 900. Yaiche called and the limper folded. Yaiche was staring at the board and Boeree was staring at Yaiche. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Boeree took her eyes of Yaiche for a fleeting moment to catch sight of the turn card. Yaiche led out with a bet of 1,350, which seemed to surprise Boeree but she made the call. The river was the {6-Hearts} and again Yaiche bet, this time 3,500, and again Boeree seemed surprised but she made the call.

Yaiche: {a-Diamonds} {q-Clubs}

Boeree tapped the table in recognition of the hand and slid her cards, unseen, to the Dealer.

Simeon Says

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Simeon Naydenov might not be the most well-known player in Western Europe, but the Bulgarian is one of the top players in his own country with a string of deep cashes last year.

He had opened preflop from late position and called a 3-bet to 1,100 before check-calling a further 1,200 on the {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {2-Spades} flop. Both players then checked the {8-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river down and Naydenov's opponent was forced to show {K-Spades} {7-Spades}. Naydenov turned over {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for not much better but it was enough to scoop the pot

A Lesson From Rousso

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Team Pokerstars pro Vanessa Rousso is handing out poker lessons over on table 23. She opened up from early position, making it 400 to play, and she received one caller from the small blind.

The flop was {k-Spades} {j-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and her opponent in the small blind check-called a 600 bet by Rousso. The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river was {6-Hearts} and her opponent checked to Rousso and she bet 2,000.

"What cards do you have?" asked her opponent.

"I cannot tell you that. You have to pay to see." Rousso replied.

Her opponent eventually folded.

"Look I have ace-queen and flopped a straight. Look ace, king, queen, jack and a ten." she pointed out to her opponent. To be fair he was wearing glasses.
