Big Stack Leverage

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

It is a gloriously sunny day with a crisp feel to it here in Deauville. Everyone was present and correct with the exception of the only previous EPT winner left in the tournament. Team Pokerstars Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier arrived a few hands later than his opponents and was followed by a hoard of cameramen and camerawomen. He is seated on table 12 and shares the table with fellow Team Pokerstars Pro and countryman Thomas Bichon and Fabian Holling so the action should be white hot over at table 12.

The big stacks seem to be starting well by applying the pressure on the medium to small stacks as these example hands demonstrate.

Fabrizio Baldassari, opened up from the cut off to 20,000 and Mathew Frankland three bet to 57,000 on the button forcing the fold. Fabian Holling raised to 17,000 on the button and Kewin Lambert called in the small blind. The flop was {9-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {8-Hearts} and Lambert checked to Holling and a 27,500 bet took it down. Then finally in another demonstration of big stack power Michel Betting raised to 17,000 and Rory Rees Brennan put Betting all-in and he folded.
