Litterio Pirrotta Eliminated in 17th Place (€40,000)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 2,000 ante
Litterio Pirrotta
Litterio Pirrotta

Litterio Pirrotta shoved from the cutoff and it folded around to Ankush Mandavia in the big blind who had a serious decision to make - he only just had Pirrotta covered. Eventually he made the call, and it was a decision that would work out well for him.

Pirrotta: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Mandavia: {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}

It was looking good for a chop, but the board came down {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts} to eliminate the Italian. Mandavia high-fived a variety of railers. "It wasn't an easy call to make," he admitted.

Short stacked Domantas Klimciauskas raised when it folded to him in the small blind (simply pushing out a 100k stack to augment his 12,000 small blind), and Eugene Yanayt set him all in (c.400,000). He shrug-called, making a stand with the unfortunately-not-even-fully-l ive {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Yanayt showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}, which held as the board emerged {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

Out on a Limb

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Alessandro Limblici thought he was in the big blind and accidentally limped under the gun, Andrey Danilyuk raised to 61,000 and Limblici decided that he may as well call the raise now as well.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and the Italian checked it across to Danilyuk - who bet 72,000. Limblici moved all in and got pretty quick fold from his opponent.

Limblici picked up the next pot as well, calling a raise in the big blind with {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} against Torsten Brinkmann's UTG raise. Both players checked the {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop before Limblici check-called a 65,000 on the {2-Diamonds} turn, the {4-Clubs} river was checked down and Limblici had rivered Brinkmann's {a-Spades}{6-Spades}.
