2011 PokerStars.com EPT Loutraki
The board was reading

and Iliodoros Kamatakis had fired 26,600 on the river with Dimitris Mpinas making the call, but Mario Puccini was tanking and eventually decided to make the overcall.
Mpinas' face fell and he declared ace-high, Puccini taking the whole pot with
to rejoin the chip leader race.
Rupert Elder has just become our first player to pick up 400,000 chips and here is how he did it.
Elder raised to 6,000 in the cutoff seat and Vasileios Chantzaras three-bet to 14,600 on the button. The blinds folded and Elder decided to take a flop out of position. The flop was a bright red looking
and Elder checked to the three-bettor and he continued his pursuit of the pot with a bet of 16,400. Elder made the call and that was the last action that we saw in the hand. The turn
and river
brought the betting to a standstill and Elder had the stronger hand at showdown.

Roman Makhlin raised to 7,000 on the button and Team PokerStars Pro Jude Ainsworth three-bet out of the small blind for 16,000. The action folded around to the little Russian and he four-bet to 23,000 and Ainsworth made the call. With around 50k in the pot and a flop of
Ainsworth checked to Makhlin and he bet 35,000.
"Is that 100k?" Asked Ainsworth
Makhlin confirmed that his stack of blue was indeed a 100k stack and with this confirmation Ainsworth moved all-in and Makhlin folded in a heartbeat.

Rupert Elder check-raised Dobromir Nikov's 8,200 flop bet to 21,300 on a

board and Nikov made the call to see the
turn.
Elder thought for a moment before betting 36,800 and Nikov again made the call, slightly quicker this time to see the
river. Elder now thought for two minutes, eyeing up Nikov's stack which was still around 200,000, Elder then declared, "I'm all in."
Nikov looked incredibly uncomfortable, squirming in his seat, but after two minutes he made the call. Elder showed
for the nuts and Nikov mucked and was eliminated.
This put Elder up to almost 700,000 but the very next hand he lost
to Pierre Mothes'
for a 140,000 pot, which might have been unfunny earlier but now he just giggled about it.

The action folded around to Koen de Visscher who was seated in the small blind and he made a standard raise. Roussos Koliakoydakis was seated in the big blind and he moved all-in for 20 big blinds and De Visscher bit his hand off.

The board was devoid of miracles and Koliakoydakis was eliminated. De Visscher was up to 192,000 after this hand but Happyfreaked has just told us that De Visscher has since lost a decent sized pot and is now down to 170,000.

David Vamplew raised to 6,000 and Fahredin Mustafov defended his big blind. The flop was an all spade affair -
- and Vamplew made a c-bet of 9,000 which Mustafov check-called. The turn card brought a little more colour to proceedings
and after Mustafov had checked Vamplew bet 19,500 and Mustafov once again called. The river was the
and Mustafov turned the tables with a bet of 20,000. After a quick count Vamplew called and took down the pot. The final card taking Vamplew from loser to winner.
