Frankenberger Falls

We wish we'd seen the flop action for this one. But we didn't. In any event, we did pick it up live as the board showed {Q-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs} with about 5,000 in the pot. Andy Frankenberger was leading the betting, and he put out 3,100. Ugur Acikcesme made the call next door, and the {8-Spades} landed on the river. Always deliberate, Frankenberger considered for a good while before settling on a final bet of 6,000. That left him with just 15,300 chips behind, and that became a problem when Acikcesme raised to 12,000. Frankenberger didn't have much choice, and he eventually reraised all in to put himself at risk. He tabled {2-Spades} {2-Clubs} for the set. It was no good.

Acikcesme's {A-Spades} {4-Diamonds} had turned the wheel, and Frankenberger has been eliminated.
