Praz Bansi Part One

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

In his own words he started the day with a bowl of rice but he is highly experienced when it comes to the latter stages of the biggest tournaments in the world. He has been all-in several times today and now has 286,000 after these two hands.

  • Raigo Aasmaa raised to 23,000, Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish called and then Praz Bansi moved all-in from the big blind and both players folded.
  • Johan van Til raised to 16,000 from the cut-off and Bansi three-bet to 40,000 on the button and van Til folded.

Vojtech Ruzicka Just Takes One Ahead of Cichocki

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Vojtech Ruzicka raised to 17,000 from early position, Grzegorz Cichocki called on the button as did Vicenzo Apicella in the small blind. Action onto the big blind and Vitaly Grigoryev seemed to consider the all-in squeeze for a while before eventually folding.

Flop:{5-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {10-Spades}

Apicella checked to Ruzicka who c-bet to the tune of 23,000 and Cichocki called before Apicella left the party.

Turn: {7-Spades}

Ruzicka checked and Cichocki bet 35,000 and Ruzicka called.

River: {q-Hearts}

Checkity-checkity

Ruzicka{10-Clubs} {9-Hearts}
Cichocki{9-} {9-}

Ruzicka reeled in the pot.

Praz Bansi Parts Two And Three

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Praz Bansi seems to be involved in every pot right now over on Table 3, with varying degrees of success.

In one hand that just played out he raised to 16,000 from middle position and Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish, in the big blind, placed his oversized sunglasses on and made the call. The flop came down {3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Valerevish checked to Bansi, who continued with a bet of 20,000 which was enough to get Valerevish to remove his shades and fold.

The very next hand Banzi again raised 16,000 and the action folded to Kjartan Bergur Jonsson in the big blind and he quickly three-bet to 38,000. Bansi asked if he would show if he folded and he was told he could only choose one card. Bansi folded and picked the card on the left, turned it over and saw the {q-Hearts}.

More from Bansi

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Praz Bansi has just had to lay down another hand but this time he waited until the river to do so.

The Brit raised from UTG and picked up a call from Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish on the button before the dealer gave them a {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop.

Bansi check-called a 20,000 bet here and a 50,000 bet on the {3-Clubs} turn before things got a little interesting on the river. Bansi checked to face an all-in shove from Valerevish.

"Will you show me it?" asked Bansi and he received a snap, "NO" in response.

Will you show me one?" he continued and this time he got a shake of the head.

He eventually folded and Valerevish smiled as he slid his cards into the muck.

Keep an Eye on Sarwer

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jeff Sarwer is up to 403,000 from a day four starting stack of 156,500 and he is playing well within himself.

Sami Kelopuro is now seated at his table and he raised to 18,000, Lauri Meidla called on the button and Sarwer made it a threesome from the blinds.

Flop: {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs}

Sarwer bet straight into his two opponents when he made it 22,000 and only Meidla called. The turn {4-Diamonds} was checked through before we saw the {9-Clubs} on the river. Sarwer liked it and bet 35,000 and Meidla called. Sarwer was handed the pot after tabling {a-} {9-} and Meidla mucked his hand.

Praz Bansi Eliminated in 21st Place (€7,500)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Bansi during a happier moment
Bansi during a happier moment

Praz Bansi's tournament is over after he lost a crucial coinflip for almost all of his stack.

The hand that crippled Bansi saw the Brit raise from middle position to 16,000 and everyone folded to Raigo Aasmaa in the cutoff. The Estonian moved all in and when the action folded to Bansi he said "enough" and made the call.

Bansi: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Aasmaa: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Aasmaa's jacks held. When the stacks were counted out Bansi only covered Aasmaa's 138,000 chips by 8,000 and Bansi was unable to pay the big blind, which he was in the very next hand.

He was eliminated when Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish raised from the cutoff with {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and everyone else folded to Bansi who was all in with {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. The Russian flopped a set and Bansi left the table, wishing every one good luck as he did so. The final board for those of you are interested was {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Andrey Subbotin eliminated in 20th place (€7,500)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Andrey Subbotin quickly followed Bansi out the door. He was sat on the button and called a cu-off raise from Vojtech Ruzicka to see a {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Both players checked to the {6-Hearts} turn before Subbotin bet 48,000 when checked to him. Call.

The river fell {10-Spades} and Ruzicka checked for a third time and let Subbotin hang himself with a 140,000 all-in shove. Ruzicka called and tabled {10-}{7-} for a full-house. Subbotin mucked and made his exit.
