Weisner Drops a Chunk

Under the gun, Fernando Cimaglia opened to 3,600, and Melanie Weisner three-bet to 8,700 two seats over. Cimaglia called, and he checked the {Q-Hearts} {7-Spades} {Q-Clubs} flop. Weisner bet 9,300 and was called, and the {2-Hearts} handed on fourth street. The action really slowed now with both players taking several minutes to make their decisions. Cimaglia check-called another 30,400, and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the river. Now, Cimaglia took the lead, shoving all in for 76,600. Weisner tanked for ages, but she eventually laid it down to leave herself about 155,000 chips.

Selbst Busts Carini

After a player limped under the gun, Andrea Carini raised to 5,200. Action folded to Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst in the big blind and she reraised to 13,300. The limper folded, but Carini made the call.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and all the money went in. Selbst bet 17,400 and Carini raised all in for around 75,000. Selbst quickly called with the {8-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a flopped two pair. Carini held the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and river the {7-Hearts}, keeping Selbst's two pair in front and eliminating Carini.

Another Three-Way

Dario Sammartino got his short stack of 15,600 into the middle preflop with {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}, and he found action from Fabrizio Leonardi ({A-Hearts} {Q-Spades}) and Jean-Philippe Rohr ({A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}).

The board ran {10-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {4-Spades}, and Sammartino's kings held strong to triple him up. He's back to about 50,000 now, and Leonardi wins the side pot. It's the second time he's gotten lucky when all in with ace-queen, and he's lost a few chips in that exchange to drop to 21,200.
