Breaking the Far Room

Getting from the main tournament area over to the farthest few tables involves some serious work. In between the two areas is the entrance to the room, the bar, and the spectators' viewing area, and there is hardly a single-file path through the masses of humanity. Thankfully, there are only seven tables left over there, and they're breaking this way fast.

Here's the counts from the last few tables over there:

Timex Ticking Like a Watch

From late position, Stefano Tripodi opened to 2,200, and Mike "Timex" McDonald three-bet to 6,700 from the small blind. Tripodi made the call, and off they went heads-up.

The dealer spread out {J-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {K-Clubs}, and McDonald continued out with another 6,600. Tripodi raised to 13,200, and McDonald tanked and reraised to 22,200. Tripodi shoved for about 60,000 total, and McDonald made the call to put a big pot up for grabs.

Showdown
Tripodi: {4-Clubs} {7-Clubs}
McDonald: {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}

McDonald had flopped top set, but he was trailing Tripodi's made flush. With the ol' seven-four. The turn {3-Spades} missed McDonald, but he found his full house on the river. The {6-Hearts} struck Tripodi like a bullet, and he has been eliminated.

Timex is up over 150,000 now.
