Rousso Chats Up Her Opponent

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

There's no other EPT event on the schedule where people will bomb their whole stack into the pot during the first level or so. But we've already seen plenty of all-ins here so far, and we watched another one involving Vanessa Rousso just a moment ago.

We only walked up to the river where there was just over 5,000 chips in the pot and a board of {J-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {4-Hearts} out on the table. It looks like David Fernando had checked, and Vanessa Rousso had bet a single yellow T5,000 chip before we approached. What we did see was Fernando shove all in over the top of Rousso, and he had her well covered. Rousso was not at all pleased with the spot, and she spent the next several minutes chatting with herself aloud.

"Oh my god!" she began. "How is this possible? How do you have four fours?" We apparently missed a big hand where Rousso was quadded up earlier, and now she wondered, "Is it possible that in two levels, two people could make quads against me?!" Sinking in her chair, she continued, "I don't know how I can fold here."

She turned her attention to Fernando and talked with him for another couple minutes, but we couldn't make out much more of the conversation. We did hear her ask, "Will you show if I fold?" Fernando had been chatty and smiley with her initially, but he now sat with his chin resting in his hands, sitting dead still. He didn't respond, and Rousso apologized to the rest of the table for taking so long. "This is, like, the worst ever. This is, like, so bad!"

Finally, a few minutes later, she did fold. Fernando gave her exactly what she was looking for, flashing his {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} to put her mind at ease. "Ohhhhh, thank you!" she said, patting the felt and stacking up the 14,400 chips she has left.
