Team PokerStars Pro Martin Staszko opened the betting with a raise to 13,000 from the under the gun seat. The action folded all the way around to Constantin Petrica in the cutoff and the Romanian made the call. The button and small blind fold and Metin Antar .
Flop: - Antar checked to Staszko and the Czech made a continuation bet of 17,000. This bet was too much for Petrica to call but Antar was prepared to pay the price and it was heads-up to the turn.
Turn: - Antar checked to Staszko again and he responded by peeking at his cards then tapping the table and checking himself.
River: - No checking for Antar on this street, instead he bet 32,000 and Staszko quickly folded.
Stig Christensen got things moving by raising from the cutoff to 14,500 and both blinds, Niels van Alphen and Keld Volquardsen made the call.
The dealer fanned out the flop and all three players checked one after each other, like little dominoes falling. Actually nothing like dominoes at all, more like three men tapping the table. Anyway, the on the turn was met with the same, check, check, check, and so was the river.
Van Alphen turned over for a set, which bested the of Volquardsen and the of Christensen.
I took a while, but finally we have our 26th place finisher. The honour(?) went to Stig Christensen after he four-bet all-in for 80,000 from the big blind. Steve O'Dwyer had opened from under the gun and Keld Volquardsen three-bet from the cut-off. O'Dwyer folded to the shove but Volquardsen called.
PokerStars qualifier Alexander Manson made a standard raise on the button and Andreas Wiese defended the small blind. The flop was a lowly looking and Wiese check-raised to 37,000 after Manson had bet 15,000 from position. Manson seemed a bit jittery, but he made the call nonetheless.
On the turn we saw the board pair, when the was slammed face up by the dealer. Wiese led for 37,000 and Manson called quite quickly. Finally we saw the and Wiese check-called a 30,000 Manson bet.
Wiese turned over for the flopped straight but Manson turned over for the runner-runner full house.
Constantin Petrica has just doubled up courtesy of Magnus Hansen. Team PokerStars Pro Martin Staszko raised to 12,500 in the cutoff, Hansen three-bet to 31,000, on the button, and Petrica moved all-in from the blinds for 116,000. Staszko folded but Hansen made the call.
Petrica
Hansen
The board was aceless and kingless and Petrica doubled up to around 350,000 chips; Hansen was knocked down to 250,000.
Bjarke Hansen opened second to act to 13,000 at his six-handed table and he received callers in the shape of Steve O'Dwyer on the button and Team PokerStars Online Mickey Petersen in the big blind.
Petersen checked the flop, Hansen bet 16,500 and both of his opponents folded.
Malki Yaron Zeev could go all the way and win this tournament because he claims to be having some divine help. He and Alexander Manson were discussing a hand that had been completed.
"When I check the flop aren't you meant to bet the turn?" asked Zeev
"Yes but I was scared. You have the book," replied Manson referring to the Torah Zeev has been reading all day long.
"It is not the book you have to worry about, I have him," pointing towards the ceiling.
We joined the action on a board reading with Metin Antar having checked from the small blind to Team PokerStars Pro Martin Staszko in the big blind. There were around 175,000 chips in the pot and Staszko moved all-in.
As Staszko shoved Antar slammed his chips down in disgust. He sat rather animated before saying "You can't be bluffing me, I fold" turning over . Staszko responded by flipping over much to the annoyance of Antar, who judging by his demeanour is in need of the break more than anyone else in the room.
Niels van Alphen has just been put under intense pressure by Keld Volquardsen and has passed the test with flying colours.
Volquardsen raised to 17,000 and van Alphen defended his blind. The flop was and both players checked. On the turn the dealer gave them the and van Alphen led for 15,000. Volquardsen very quickly raised to 40,000 and van Alphen called. On the river we saw the and van Alphen - who had around 140,000 behind - checked to Volquardsen who bet 65,000. Van Alphen took a few minutes to compose himself before making the call and Volquardsen immediately started to shake his head before turning over for ace-high. Van Alphen, on the other hand, turned over for a great call.
