Welcome back to coverage of the 2012 PokerStars.com EPT Barcelona €10,000 High Roller. Yesterday, the field accumulated to a size of 111 entries. It was a short day on the felt and at day's end, 76 remained with Taylor Paur on top of them all. He bagged over 200,000 in chips and proved to be the only player to do so.
The reason for the short day yesterday was because of the Barcelona versus Real Madrid soccer match that took place and a lot of the players planned to attend the event thanks to the help of EPT Concierge. After a fun-filled night, it's now back on the grind today as the field will move towards the money and the final table.
The money bubble is set at 12 spots and cashing will guarantee a player €24,470. Up top is €359,000. The total prize pool generated was €1,087,800.
Of those still remaining, Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel (140,100), Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (129,100) and Angel Guillen (123,700) all finished with hefty stacks. Jason Mercier (48,100) and Pius Heinz (28,000) bagged less than what they started the tournament with, but are still very much capable of turning things around for a deep run.
Play will kick off at 1:00 PM local time, so stay tuned right here to PokerNews for all of the live updates.
