Let's Take a Vote

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Following the elimination of Grzegorz Derkowski on the bubble, some of the players were essentially begging for play to stop so they could get some sleep. Others, such as Kristijonas Andrulis, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Jonathan Duhamel and Joao Vieira, wanted to play it out to the final table. Duhamel and Grospellier even joked at playing all the way to a winner, but somethings tells us they were kind of serious in that request.

Following the players barking back and forth what they wanted, the tournament director announced that a vote would be taken. One by one, the tournament director went around each table after instructing the players to take their seats and took a vote. The end result was in favor of stopping play for the night, eight to four. It was voted, though, that the level would be finished before ending play for the night, which means another 13 minutes and change.

Some of the players then asked what time they would be returning tomorrow for the final day and were informed 12:00 PM. Most were in agreement that they wanted to start later and asked for a 1:00 PM start, which they received.

Moral of the story is that the players are in the money, playing out until the end of the current level and then bagging up before returning to action tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
