Selbst's Awesome First Level
During the break, Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst came into the media room and told us about how she went from 47,000 to 230,000 in the first level of the day. That's a pretty impressive push in the first 75 minutes and she recalled one of her hands to us that gave her a big chunk of chips.
According to Selbst, she opened under the gun with the 
and a player in the small blind three-bet. She called and took the 
flop that contained two clubs. The small blind checked and Selbst bet 7,000 into about 15,000. Her opponent check-raised to 15,000 and she called.
The turn was an offsuit 
and both players checked to see the 
fall on the river. After the small blind bet 20,000, Selbst said she put him all in for his last 40,000 or so. Her opponent snapped holding pocket nines. Selbst won the pot with her top two pair and sent the player packing while raking in a big pot.
