Doubles and Ownership

Vladimir Geshkenbein managed to get some of those lost chips back from the same guy that took them off him.

He open shoved for 425,000 from under the gun with {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and was only called by Pratyush Buddiga in the next seat, holding {8-Clubs}[8d. The board ran {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Geshkenbein gave a hopeful looking expression on the flop and then said something like, "Boomshaklaka" when the turn made his flush.

The very next hand Geshkenbein called a 68,000 raise from Davidi Kitai and a 69,000 c-bet on the {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop. Both players checked the {k-Diamonds} turn before Geshkenbein led for a bet on the river. Snap call.

Geshkenbein said, "Nice hand" and opened {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a missed straight draw. Then Kitai opened what he had called with: {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}! That prompted Geshkenbein to say, "Oh wow, nice call!"
