Vöhrs' Large Turn Bet Gets The Job Done

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

If your opponent will not lay down his hand then do what Sören Vöhrs just did and bring out the big guns!

Vojtech Ruzicka opened to 2,100 from the cutoff and Vöhrs was his only customer, from the big blind. The first three cards on the board were {J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, Ruzicka checked, then called a 2,500 bet from Vöhrs. The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Ruzicka checked again so Vöhrs upped the ante somewhat and bet 12,000, quite the bet considering the previous streets' sizing. Ruzicka was not prepared to pay this and he mucked his hand.
