De Visscher Conquers Before He's Conquered

Mikhail Lakhitov was down to less than 250,000 when he shoved from the button, looked up by Koen De Visscher in the big blind with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Lakhitov tabled {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and the board ran {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Lakhitov made a straight on the river but it also brought a flush for his opponent.

Three hands later it was De Visscher himself who was out of the door. He raised from the cut-off and Luca Pagano peeled from the big blind to see an {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop.

Pagano check-raised the Belgian's 42,000 c-bet up to 90,000, and then led for 140,000 on the {8-Spades} turn. De Visscher called both times and then was set in for his remaining 379,000 on the {5-Spades} river. De Visscher tanked and called with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Pagano opened up {10-Spades}{8-Clubs} for trips and took another big pot and the scalp of a dangerous opponent.
