Day 4 Completed
When Day 4 of the 2012 PokerStars.fr EPT Deauville began, Luca Pagano was sitting in 36th place out of the 54 remaining players. One level into the day he became chip leader and never looked back, ultimately finishing the day with 3,561,000.
With 344,000 at the start, Pagano chipped up nicely to about 700,000 before going on an absolute tear. It started when he picked up and eliminated Balazs Botond who couldn't catch up with
. That put Pagano at about the million chip mark, leading to the hand that changed everything.
The chip leader entering the day, Samphane Phomveha, crawled to the first break as a result of the Team PokerStars Pro. Pagano bet every street of an board and Phomveha paid him off each time. Holding
, Pagano's flopped set became a full house. Phomveha showed
for trips and was left with just two big blinds, busting shortly thereafter.

This rapid of poker has come to and end with the elimination of Herve Boulan, to take us to 24 players remaining.
The action folded to the Frenchman on the button and he open shoved for 550,000. Vadzim Kursevich was in the big blind, looked down at , and made an understandably instant call.
Boulan opened and the board ran
to see the queens hold.

Christian Togsverd just took [Removed:167] out and just 25 players remain in the 2011 EPT Deauville Main Event.
The hand started with a 75k opening raise from Denis Cheremisin. Togsverd was next to act and pushed for 600k+ before Ehrhardt called all in for slightly less.
Cheremisin dropped out and it was a rather classic race with Togsverd holding against Ehrhardt's
.
The board brought no joy for Ehrhardt and when one more player busts, play will end for the night.

Vadzim Kursevich pulled off the retro limp under gun with aces maneuver to help him to double up via Vuong Than Trong.
Vuong Than Trong was on the button and bumped up the limp to 76,000. The action was back on the Kursevich and thought for a minute before he moved all-in. Call.
Kursevich:
Trong:
The board ran . Trong has lost half his stack in the last couple of hours.

Artem Litvinov has just sent Yoni Journo to the rail.
Litvinov opened the hand, making it 55k from the button and Journo pushed in for 350k. Litvinov went deep into the tank before flipping a coin, presumably to help with the decision.
It came heads, but that still didn't seem to settle things, as he continued thinking it over. Eventually he called with . Journo had
and would need some help to survive.
The flop fell giving them both a pair and the turn came the
, giving them both two, however, the
river sunk Journo as Litinov pushed up around the one-million mark.
To celebrate, Litinov ran to the other side of the room, pulled two chairs apart and did the splits between them. He was then seen throwing jabs at a TV screen in the corner, before returning to his chair out of breath.

A mistake by Antonio Guerrero almost certainly helped him to a double up through Luca Pagano. The Team PokerStars Pro opened to 55,000 from the hijack and Guerrero threw in the calling chips. Both the blinds folded and Guerrero went to slide his cards towards the dealer. The dealer gave him a shake of the head and indicated towards Pagano in seat eight. It seemed as it Guerrero thought he had opened the pot, and we're not sure Pagano had seen his opponent's error either.
The flop came and Pagano set Guerrero in for his remaining 266,000. The Frenchman called quickly with
beating his Italian opponent's

Luca Pagano opened to 50,000 from the cutoff and Vadzim Kursevich three-bet to 120,000 from the button.
A call from Pagano landed a flop. Pagano led out for what looked to be 100,000 (could have been 125,000) and was met by a call from Kursevich. When the
hit the turn, Pagano bet 200,000. Kursevich mulled it over, but gave it up.
