Javier Piazuelo opened to 10,000 preflop and Ricardo Tavares flat-called before Barny Boatman reraised all in for 80,000 from the small blind.
Piazuelo reshoved with
and Tavares folded, Boatman turned over
and although the Hendon Mobster flopped an eight, he was unable to improve further and was hence eliminated.

We arrived at the table just as Kevin MacPhee was raking in a double-up pot. Since we missed the details, we'll let the man himself explian:
"132k. Woke up with AA in the bb after the button shoved 56s and held... still a lot of work to do. 59 left." #ordereceived #EPTMadrid

João Paulo Simão has just won the biggest pot of the tournament after a massive flip agains Javier Etayo.
Simão held the
to Etayo's
for a pot worth over 900,000.
The flop came

and there was a quiet "Vamos" from Etayo's friends but that all changed on the
turn and the same friends all quietly whispered, "Nooooo."
The
on the river improved Simão even further and he was clearly elated to take over the chip lead. Etayo meanwhile looked glum and briefly left the table as he dropped to 200,000.

It's the end of the road for Toby Lewis, he got into a big raising war holding
against Ilan Boujenah's
for a 600,000 chip pot blind on blind and although he spiked on the flop, Boujenah jumped out of his chair and cheered when the latter caught the river of the

João Paulo Simão appears to have been the preflop raiser from the button, and we picked up the action live as he and Javier Dominguez (big blind) saw the first three community cards together. They were
, and Dominguez checked to the raiser. Simão continued out with 16,500, but Dominguez check-raised to 52,500. Simão considered for a couple long minutes, eyeballed his opponent's stack, then made the call.
The turn came the
, and Dominguez quickly grabbed almost all his remaining chips and slid them across the line. "Call!" Simão announced instantly, and the dealer counted down the 209,000 from each player. Dominguez had just 7,000 chips left now. On the river
, he dumped those last chips into the pot, and Simão matched the bet with his
for the set. No good.
Dominguez rolled over
, and his flush draw backed into a straight to smash his monster double. It moves the Team PokerStars Online pro up to about 555,000, while Simão has been knocked back down to a still-quite-healthy 685,000.
