Carroll Can't Call, Then Busts

Philipp Gruissem opened to 10,000 from under the gun, Fabian Quoss called on the button, and James Carroll defended his big blind. The flop fell {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}, and the action checked to Quoss, who tossed out 20,000.

Carroll check-raised to 50,500, Gruissem folded, and Quoss moved all in. Carroll grabbed his entire stack, but thought better of it and mucked his hand.

"Show the eight of hearts," Gruissem told Quoss in German.

His fellow countryman obliged, opening up the {8-Hearts}. The entire table, even Carroll, laughed.

A few hands later, after unknown action, Carroll was eliminated.
