Lavallee Up to Four Million

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Jason Lavallee opened to 60,000 from under the gun, David "Devil Fish" Ulliott defended his big blind, and the flop came down {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Ulliott check-called a bet of 59,000, and the pair checked after the {a-Clubs} fell on the turn.

The {10-Diamonds} completed the board, giving each player at least tens and sevens with an ace kicker, and Ulliott led out for 120,000. Lavallee reached into his massive stack, pulling out a handful of pumpkin T25,000 chips, and cut out a raise to 300,000. He pushed it forward.

"Can ya beat this?" Devil Fish asked, flashing {9-Spades}{8-Spades} and mucking.

Lavallee grinned, and showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

"Bluffin' with the best of it," Ulliott grunted.

"No," Lavallee corrected him, "I didn't want to chop."

Sabini Sinking

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

David "Devil Fish" Ulliott raised to 75,000 from middle position, Carla Sabini defended her big blind, and the dealer fanned {10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Sabini checked, Ulliott continued for 60,000, and Sabini made the call.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, Sabini check-called another 100,000 from Devil Fish, and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board. The Canadian checked for a third time, and Ulliott emptied the chamber, firing a final bullet worth 120,000. Sabini called.

"Straight?" she asked.

Ulliott didn't respond verbally, rather he turned over {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a pair of kings turned jack-high straight, raking in the pot.

David Ulliot Eliminated in 6th Place (£82,315)

In an unbelievable turn of events we just lost David 'Devil Fish" Ulliot in sixth place. It all started when Sorel Mizzi moved all in from the button for 555,000 chips. Ulliot tanked for a while and called from the small blind.

Jason Lavallee was next to act and he moved all in over the top within a second to put Ulliot in a very tough spot. Both Ulliot and Lavallee pushed forward 555,000 chips and the former looked down at his remaining 900,000 chips, as he was contemplating a call.

During Ulliot's decision making process Mizzi joked around with the players on the rail and Lavallee had a hard time not laughing, as he was in a position to potentially take out two players.

"Call," Ulliott ultimately announced while the three short stacks seemed to be in shock.

"Please don't have an ace, please don't have an ace," Mizzi said, as the cards were turned on their backs.

Ulliott: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Mizzi: {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Lavallee: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Nobody had an ace besides Mizzi who flopped extremely good when {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} appeared. The turn brought the {3-Spades} and the river the {6-Hearts} giving Mizzi a triple up and Lavallee the remainder of Ulliot's chips.

"If I win that hand I just walk away with the trophy," Lavallee sighed as was very close to being four-handed with almost all of the remaining chips.

"I would've just gone out to celebrate for a level and a half before coming back," Lavallee added with a smile as he will now have to deal with Mizzi's dangerous stack.

Sabini Finds Aces

Carla Sabini
Carla Sabini

After chopping with {a-Spades}{8-Clubs} against the {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} of Simon Higgins (the five community cards were {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}), Tamer Kamel moved all in for effectively 373,000 from the small blind.

"Call," Carla Sabini said immediately, showing {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

Kamel tabled {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, and the aces held as the board came {8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Higgins Binks an Ace

Simon Higgins doubles

Simon Higgins was first to act, and moved all in for 486,000. Sorel Mizzi called in the small blind, and Jason Lavallee surrendered his big.

Higgins: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Mizzi: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Suddenly, Tamer Kamel, who was down to four big blinds, had a shot to climb up the pay ladder and earn an extra £34,000.

The {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop was clean, but the {a-Clubs} ripped off on the turn. The {5-Clubs} completed the board, and Higgins doubled through.

Higgins said something about Mizzi's triple up against Lavallee and the Devil Fish, to which Mizzi responded, "I can't complain."

Higgins: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Kamel: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Kamel added a gutshot straight draw when the dealer fanned {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but the nines held up as the turn and river bricked off {2-Clubs}, {10-Spades} respectively. Kamel earns £106,170, while Higgins is up to 1.13 million chips.

Carla Sabini Eliminated in 4th Place (£132,320)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Carla Sabini
Carla Sabini

Jason Lavallee raised from the button to 80,000 and after Simon Higgins folded it was Carla Sabini who moved all in. Lavallee asked for a count and quickly called when he heard it was around 600,000 total.

Lavallee: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Sabini: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The flop brought {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Lavallee picked up some more outs besides the ace and the ten he already had. On the turn the {8-Spades} hit and that meant an eight, nine, ace, ten or queen would also knock Sabini out.

The river brought the {8-Diamonds} and Lavallee said, "That works," as he knocked Sabini out.

"I got counterfeited?" Sabini said in disbelief as she was very disappointed with being knocked out.

"I would've much rather seen an ace on the river," Sabini said about the cruelty a counterfeited hand.

Before exiting the area Sabini wished the other players good luck and the remaining players complimented her on this good result. Just three remain and these are the current chip counts.
