"Alright, You Win"

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

With 100,000 in the pot and a board reading {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, Andrew Chen bet 37,000 from the big blind only to have John Juanda raise enough to put him all in form the cutoff. Chen, who had 219,000 behind, seemed perplexed but eventually called off.

"Alright, you win," Juanda admitted. A relieved Chen then tabled the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a straight and the double. Juanda mucked.

Gruissem Busts for Fourth and Final Time

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

No one has invested more in this tournament that Philipp Gruissem, who has fired four bullets for a £200,000 worth of buy-ins. Unfortunately that investment hasn't paid off as Gruissem just hit the rail for the fourth time in this tournament.

It happened after he opened for a raise with {a-}{k-} only to have Patrik Antonius, who held the same hand, three-bet to 42,000. Talal Shakerchi proceeded to four-bet to 76,000, Gruissem shoved for right around 230,000, and Antonius moved all in over the top. Shakerchi called off for roughly 330,000 and tabled {a-}{a-}, which held to win the monster pot.

Shakerchi nearly tripled while simultaneously eliminating Gruissem and crippling Antonius.

Perkins Knocks Duhamel Out

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Jonathan Duhamel on Day 1
Jonathan Duhamel on Day 1

Bill Perkins raised preflop from late position and Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel moved all in over the top from the small blind.

Duhamel's shove was for just 115,000 and Perkins called immediately.

Perkins: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Duhamel: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

"It's a flip. It's a fair fight," Perkins said right before the dealer put out {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} on the flop. The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} and the river the {7-Clubs} eliminating Duhamel.

"Come on man, give me a huge," the loving Perkins said as both players enjoyed a three second embrace. Perkins is one of the most fun loving guys in the event and it almost seems like he doesn't like knocking players out.

Another One For Strassmann

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The board showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} when Johannes Strassmann checked to fellow countryman Fabian Quoss. Quoss bet 40,000 and Strassmann put in a check-raise to 140,000.

Quoss seemed surprised with this move but eventually he made the call. Strassmann turned over {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and took down the pot with a flush.

Adams Puts a Hurtin' on Buchanan

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

There was already a decent pot brewing when we caught the action on the turn with a board reading {9-Spades}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Timothy Adams had bet 85,000 from the small blind and Shawn Buchanan called from the cutoff. When the {Q-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Adams slowed down with a check and Buchanan fired out 155,000, which was about half his remaining stack.

Adams didn't take too long to call, and Buchanan indicated that it was a good call. Adams then tabled the {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for a flopped straight and won the pot. Buchanan was left with a short stack after the hand.
