Simon Higgins Wins Huge Pot Against Oleksii Khoroshenin

Simon Higgins just won a monster pot 315,000 chip pot against Oleksii Khoroshenin to usurp the Ukranian at the top of the chip counts.

Higgins (under-the-gun+1), who finished second in the £10,000 High Roller at EPT London in October, had a bet of 20,000 in front of him and there was a bet of 12,500 in front of Khoroshenin. But the pre-flop betting wasn't done yet, Khoroshenin raised it to 35,000 and Higgins made the call.

So there was over 70,000 in the pot by the time the {J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop hit the felt, Khoroshenin fired out a bet of 28,500, Higgins then put too much into the pot, but not enough for it to go as a raise, so a call it was. The {10-Hearts} hit the turn, Khoroshenin set Higgins all-in for 92,000 and after taking his time Higgins called all in.

Higgins: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Khoroshenin: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Higgins doubled to 315,000 whilst Khoroshenin slips to 190,000.
