Kakhmazov Five Bets

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Marinko Skoric opened the betting for 2,100 and was three-bet by Nadar Kakhmazov to 6,300. The blinds got out of the way and Skoric 4-bet him 14,100. It didn’t end there as Kakhmazov put in the 5-bet to 28,800 with about 27,000 chips behind. Skoric was sitting on 120,000 and made the call which got the attention of the rest of the table. The dealer put out a flop of {2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Skoric had a good look at the board and checked so Kakhmazov put out a bet of 17,100 leaving 10,000 behind. Skoric went in the tank for maybe 2 or three minutes until Skoric called the clock on him. A bit of confusion ensued as the floor started to give Kakhmazov the speech but it was soon corrected and when it was completed Skoric released his cards.

Welcome Back to the Party

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

The following players busted once, but each of them has decided to take another shot at the tournament. Thanks to the single reentry option, they're back in action.

Dessert Time for Diaz

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

First hand after the dinner break, PokerStars Team Online player Mickey Petersen opened for 1,800 and Pascal Lefrancois made the call on the button. Adrian Mateos Diaz made it 6,400 from the big blind and when Peterson checked the stack of Diaz he folded. Lefrancois had other ideas though and he moved all in. Diaz called and turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and he was up against the pair {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} of Lefrancois. The board ran out {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Diaz had time for dessert as he hit the rail.

Choraria Culled; Two Others to Reenter

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

We missed he exact details, but we do know that the UK's Kamal Choraria was just eliminated. When the money went in is anyone's guess, but we do know that held the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} on a {3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} board against an opponent who had the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Choraria still has his reentry option available, so it will be interesting to see if he used it.

Speaking of which, Johannes Strassmann and Leon Tsoukernik were both eliminated in the same hand against Marc Etienne McLaughlin. Fear not though, as both men indicated that they would reenter.

They Failed to Make the Dinner Break

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Skeptical Tuna

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

We joined the action as Jonathan Little bombed on the river of a board reading {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. It was a chunky 77,000 and the decision was on fellow big stack at the table Akin Tuna. Little has been very active and after some thought a sceptical Tuna made the call. He was a believer though when Little showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and another big pot was pushed his way.
