High Roller Day 2 Begins at Noon

Georgios Karakousis
Georgios Karakousis

The action was fast and furious throughout yesterday’s 10 hours of play. With antes in play from the very first level every pot was worth fighting for, and the fact that it was a single re-entry tournament meant that a second chance was always available if the first shot didn’t work out. Indeed for 34 High Rollers, out of the total number of 135 entrants so far, one bullet just wasn’t enough and they reached into their pocket for another €10,000 buy-in.

Georgios Karakousis will start Day 2 as the chip leader of remaining 84 players with 407,200. Not too far behind him is Dmitri Yurasov who returns with332,600. Some others who chipped up from their 50,000 starting stack include Dmitri Yurasov (362,000), Jonathan Little (241,000), Steve O’Dwyer (141,400), and Team PokerStars Pros Vanessa Selbst (236,000) and Isaac Haxton (207,900).

Dominik Nitsche (133,400) is another to make the second day, having decided to re-invest his €9,200 cash in the EPT Prague Main event. David Vamplew is on his second bullet with just over starting stack of 50,300 but Dan Shak who re-bought late in the day made a late run to spin it up to 205,800.

Registration is still open until the start of play today so the total number of entrants and re-entrants is bound to increase. Blinds will be resuming at 1,000 / 2,000 with a 300 ante level 11. Expect a flurry of early bust outs and re-entries as players look to go big or go home. We will bring you the details of the pay-out structure and top prize as soon as it’s announced with first place sure to be an eye watering amount of money.

The action gets underway at 12 p.m. CET, one hour earlier than yesterday. Your PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be following all the action and bringing you the latest developments as it happens throughout the day. Make sure you keep an eye on what promises to be an action packed game of High Roller Poker.
