Katchalov Opening Up

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov has become a lot more active since the antes kicked in and is frequently opening pots now. Two we recently witnessed went down as follows

Katchalov opened for 700 from early position and was called on the button by Russian Viacheslav Goryachev. The blinds folded and the dealer put out a flop of {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts}. A bet of 800 from Katchalov saw the pot slid his way. The next hand Katchalov opened again for 700, Goryachev was again a caller and Samuel Panzica came along from the big blind. A flop of {q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Panzica checked, Katchalov checked and Viacheslav now bet 1,200. That did the job and it was his turn to add to his pile.
