Schemion Back to Old Tricks

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Lasell King opened under the gun to 50,000 and Ole Schemion in the big blind was the sole caller. With {4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} as a flop Schemion checked to his neighbor. King continued with a 65,000 bet and was soon met by a raise from Schemion to 190,000. King called.

The turn was the {A-Clubs} and Schemion didn't hold back. He bet 380,000 and King called without taking much time for thinking. The {K-Clubs} fell on the river and Schemion announced to be all in for 1,265,000. King thought about it for a little bit but eventually mucked.

Down to just 374,000 Yury Gulyy moved all in from the button with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Dimitri Holdeew called with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The {Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop gave him some help, the {A-Clubs} turn took away some outs and the {4-Hearts} river ended his tournament. Pot to Holdeew, he's up to 1,950,000

Stephen Chidwick opened to 50,000 and Sigurd Andreas Eskeland made the call. From the small blind Tiberu-Florian Georgescu shoved all in for 209,000 and Chidwick thought about it for a little bit. He then announced a raise but even before it was known how much he wanted to make it, Eskeland had already folded.

Georgescu had {10-Spades}{K-Clubs} while Chidwick tabled {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. The board didn't connect with anyone: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}. Chidwick eliminated another player and got even richer.

Another double up for Romain Chauvassagne and this time it came against Andrew Chen. If folded to the Canadian in the small blind and he moved all-in with {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. In the big blind, Chauvassagne peaked at his cards and then called all in for roughly 350,000 with {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Metalidi Doubles His Short Stack

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Right after losing the giant cooler with his full house, Metalidi shoved all in when it folded to him in the small blind. Ka Kwan Lau in the big blind instantly called from the big blind.

Things weren't to good for Metalidi who had just {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Lau had {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} but would get outdrawn: {4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Lucky break for Metalidi, he's still in it.

Cooler Between Track and Metalidi

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Not so lucky
Not so lucky

On a {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board we just saw Artem Metalidi bet out 250,000 from the big blind. His opponent, German player Julian Track in de cutoff, made the call.

The river completed the board with the {4-Clubs} and Metalidi bet out for 260,000. This is where things got really interesting. Track thought about it for some time and then all of the sudden he announced to be all in. The dealer didn't hear it correctly and neither did most of the other players at the table. Once double checked the all in triangle appeared and Metalidi asked for a count. It was 995,000 total, so 735,000 more.

Eventually he made the call and Track slammed his {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} on the table, shouting "Yeah!" Metalidi mucked his {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for a worse full house and had to continue short.
