Level 32 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Tom Middleton limped the small blind with {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Luca Fiorini checked his option in the big blind with {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Middleton checked but when Fiorini bet 430,000 he check raised to 1,150,000. Fiorini with the nut flush draw called. The river was the {k-Clubs} and when Middleton bet small for 650,000, Fiorini made the call to pick off the bluff.

Gury King High Call no Good

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Benoit Gury opened on the button for 425,000 with {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and got a call from the big blind from Pasi Sormunen with {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}. They saw a flop of {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Sormunen flopped top pair. They both checked the flop and saw a turn card of {10-Spades} to give Gury a gut shot straight draw. Sormunen now bet out for 200,000 and Gury made the call. A river {3-Clubs} and Sormunen went for thin value, betting 350,000. Gury suspected the bluff and made the call which leaves Gury as the short stack at the table.

Sormunen Rivers a Set

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Pasi Sormunen, under the gun with {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, raised for 425,000. Benoit Gury made a speculative call in small blind with {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and the big blind folded. The speculation was rewarded when Gury hit top pair on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} but checked it over to Sormunen, who checked behind. {k-Diamonds} on the turn and again they both checked. The river was the {6-Clubs} giving Sormunen a set and now Gury decided to bet out for 430,000. Sormunen raised him to 975,000 and Gury must have thought he sniffed a bluff as he made the call and saw the bad news. Gury was down to just 11 big blinds after that pot.

"Hit the Hole. Hit the Hole. Hit the Hole!"

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Action folded to Tom Middleton on the button and he announced that he was all in for 2.98 million. Luca Fiorini squeezed out his cards in the small blind and then excitedly shot up and announced, "I'm all in." The big folded and the cards were turned up.

Middleton: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Fiorini: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

"Jack ball," Middleton's British rail began to yell. It was a flip, but not after the crowd got what they asked for when the dealer put out the {j-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades} on the flop. Needless to say, the boisterous Brits went wild for their man. Fiorini, who looked a bit annoyed by it all, watched helplessly as useless {4-Clubs} appeared on the turn followed by the {10-Spades} on the river.

Kurko Cracks Aces to Take the Chip Lead

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Kimmo Kurko
Kimmo Kurko

After looking down at the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}, chip leader Kresten Nielsen opened for 435,000 in the cutoff and must have been loving it when Kimmo Kurko shoved from the small blind for 4.51 million. The big blind folded and Nielson quickly called. Needless to say, Kurko was in trouble with the {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

Nielsen clapped his hands together and began to celebrate with his friends on the rail, but he got gravely serious when the {9-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop gave Kurko a plethora of outs. A queen, jack and ten would give Kurko the lead, and while he didn't get it on the {3-Diamonds} turn, he did when the {10-Hearts} rolled off on the river.

Kurko let a huge smile creep across his face while he momentarily took off his gold sparkly fedora. Meanwhile, Nielsen looked understandably frustrated.
