Set Over Set in the Last Hand of the Night Sends Kurganov to the Rail

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

A huge hand between Igor Kurganov and Sandor Denjam just went down on the last hand of the night on the feature table. One of those men fell while one became the Day 1 chip leader.

We caught the action after action erupted on a board reading {3-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Kurganov ended up all in for 236,500 with the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a flopped set, but much to the astonishment of the railbirds Demjan had turned a bigger one with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. The {8-Hearts} river wasn't the case ten Kurganov needed, and he was sent to the rail on the last hand of the evening.

We expect Kurganov will exercise his option to re-enter at the start of Day 2.
