Nitsche Fires River

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

We came upon the table to find 1,700 already in the middle and a flop that read {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} spread out on the felt. Matti Konttinen checked from the small blind over to Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff who also tapped the table.

Dominik Nitsche cut out a bet of 1,000 and Konttinen called. O'Dwyer stuck around too and the turn brought the {Q-Diamonds}. Konttinen and O'Dwyer both checked for a second time and Nitsche followed suit.

The river paired the board and brought a fourth diamond when the {5-Diamonds} fell. Two checks to Nitsche prompted a bet of 3,000. Konttinen went into the tank before finally releasing his hand. O'Dwyer folded as well and the pot was pushed to Nitsche.

Nitsche is now sitting on about 35,000 while O'Dwyer's stack has fallen to roughly 26,500.
