Huge Double Up For Pidun

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Daniel-Gai Pidun bubbled the EPT Berlin final table two years ago and for a moment it seemed like he was heading in the same direction this year. Pidun raised from the small blind to 200,000 after which Roman Herold three-bet to 440,000 from the big blind. Pidung made the call and the flop brought {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Pidung played around with his chips for a while before deciding to check. Herold bet out 340,000 and Pidun decided to move all in for 1,125,000. Herold pondered for a while but eventually he made the call.

Daniel-Gai Pidun: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Roman Herold: {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}, {6-Spades} and Pidun doubled up. Herold is now one of the short stacks together with Julian Thomas.
